trip counter and odometer units?

Is it possible to switch the trip counter and odometer between miles and kilometers? How?

Thanks
Martin

Not sure about the 170...but most have the dual markings on the speedo. Where is your car from originally?

Good question. My car was built for use in Thailand so it is right hand drive but with the speedometer only in kilometers. The donor car I am using to rebuild mine post flood is from Japan, so also right hand drive and would normally be kilometers I'm sure but this car was specified to have miles as well. Maybe it was originally a UK model or intended for UK. Not sure who other than UK uses RHD and mph. I may take the overlay that shows the speedometer in km and use it on the panel from the donor car but the legend above the odometer reads km whereas the actual odometer is set to miles.

Here are 2 pictures showing the 2 different types of display overlay I have. Would imagine the trip counter and odometer can be changed between the different formats, but how?

mph-kph.jpg
Note miles above trip counter

kph-only.jpg
This version has km above trip counter
