Should I paint my wheels black?

I'm thinking about painting my 19" AMG's black or gunmetal. I can't really find any pictures of R170's with black wheels so I think it's difficult to decide whether it'll look cool or ruin the clean styling I've tried to do...

Let me hear what you think...

Matte black would look good, but the wheels are very thin-spoked. I think it would look better on some beefier spokes, but oh well. Regardless though, on 19"s what you really should consider is lowering. There is huge gap both front and rear between the rubber and the fender now.

Definitely not. Black rims are just another automotive fad, and IMO they rarely ever look good.

Thanks for your replies.

Won't look good I can see so I'll stick with the way they are now.

Lowering the car will obviously look better but the car is stiff enough already on 19's so I think it'll be to uncomfortable lowered...
curro101 and raybonj like this.

Go with PlastiDip, then you can peel it off later if you don't like them.

If you want an idea on how the plasti dip will look on the r170, here's mine. The rims are different but it gives you an idea
