Very wet pax / nearside Under the carpets

R170 RHD UK From mONSOON LIKE WEST LONDON

From the advise on site I was able to sort out the rear and it seems fine. I thought I had sorted the front but soaking wet passenger mat (today) proof I had not sorted the front end.

I removed the screws from the plastic fascia and this enabled me to have a good go on the aqua lounge side (nearside - pax). I have the carpet and liner up as far as it will go in an effort to dry the inside.

I did remove the wiper blade bolts but was unable to remove them from the stubs, so although you can see into the drain well - it may return. If on examination you can see why rain water will overrun the heater and enter the car as it is not the best design.

Anyone any suggestion on how to get the wiper blade arms off the stubs (I tried a soak with WD40 and there is little or no room for maneuverability. At best it may be cured as there was a lot of crap that came out and it was flowing well with clean water.

Thanks to all.
