Akebono Ceramic Brake Pad Install Done

Put the Akebono Ceramic pads on my wife's 01 SLK 320 today. Installation was quite easy. Also replaced the wear sensors on the front. Did 1 wheel at a time and had no problems with any computer errors after the install. Also painted the calipers black with the Duplicolor Kit. Braking seems fine, time will tell about the brake dust. Bought the pads through J.C. Whitney. They were right at $100 for all. Rotors looked fine as did the original pads. Car only has 23k miles on it. Glad it's done.

When I bought my 2004 230 I couldn't believe the black dust on my front wheels after a short trip to the grocery store. It was absolutely disgusting!
I researched the web site and found recommendations for the Akebono pads. Bought new rotors for a fresh start and the Euro spec Akebonos. After over two years my wheels stay clean and the rotors have no grooves.
After installing the fronts I did the same with the rears. No more black dust on the license plate! Yes, I'm happy with the stopping power too.
I couldn't recommend higher!
