dash stays on with key out, draining battery

after turning engine off and removing key, dash stays on and battery is drained, please help!

The dash should stay on for a while. I think you have a different issue.

If you have your radio code try unhooking the neg battery cable for 30 minutes or so.

When you remove the key, does the warning alarm sound when you open the door as if the key has not been removed? Could it be the car still thinks the ignition is on?
