Fog light bypass...

I know it might not be strictly legal but...

I drive a lot in the country and would like to have the fog lights on with the high beam to light the 'near front' and 'road edges' when using the high beam as well as the low. Searched the forum and didn't see any thing for this. Is this a wiring bypass or is the an ECU function?

Did this on my Land Rover where its a simple setting in the body ECU.

Anyone put xenon/hid bulbs in the fogs? Did this also in the LR and I know a lot of XFire folks have also. Makes a HUGE difference.

Thanks,
Rich

From what I have seen its really hard/impossible to use HID's in the stock foglights for the 1998-2000 front bumper..

What year is your car and what front bumper does it use

OK, well I think I have the HID thing figures out, but.

I need a copy of the illumination control module internal circuitry. I have it for the Crossfire but there may be differences. Also, both the the Crossfire and SLK have the fogs go out when high beam selected but cant find ANYTHING in the published wiring to cause this.

Does any one have the wiring for the internal circuitry for this module?

Thanks
Rich
