Where to put Sirius Sportster unit?

First, happy New Year to all!!!!! (May be a few hours early to say that in the US but since this is a global forum it's already New Year's across the pond.)

My nephew bought my kids the Sirius Sportster 4 satellite radios for their cars. We found a real good spot to put it in my son's car. I'm trying to figure out where I can put it in the 2000 SLK. There doesn't seem like a real logical spot.

Any suggestions? btw, it has a remote so I'm not sure if putting it in the glove box is an option.

If you don't mind losing the cupholder, you can change this out for a tray (available in European cars) and have the satellite radio in the tray instead. You can operate the remote when the tray cover is lifted. (I don't have the part no. for the tray handy at this time in my workplace).

How do you plan to connect the Sirius radio to your car radio.

Not knowing anything about these electronic connections, it would be cool to use the CD changer connection in the trunk. Anybody know if that can be done.

I assume the remote is RF.

Part no. A 171 680 0052 9116 (9116 refers to black interior color).

Here's a photo of the tray instead of the cupholder (photo belongs to someone in another forum but I forgot who and has placed a radar inside the tray):

EDIT: OOOPS! my bad, It didn't register in my head that it's for the R170.
