Humidity \ Water in Headlights

All,

My '02 SLK320 is suffering from himidity in the headlights. I have an SLK320 Sport with HID headlights. Since I purchased it the right lamp has water collecting on the inside of the headlight lens. Now I'm starting to see some vapor accumulating on the left lense as well. Any thoughts?

i have the same problem with my slk32 on the driver side. when i inspect the plastic lens i found a hair line crack at the top (inside the hood). so i've ordered a plastic lens housing for my driver side. hopefully the installation will be easy, i'll let you know...

My experience for replacing\working on the lamp is two fold...

1) you will need to replace the original seal. Chances are it is dry rotted beyond use and will require "assistance".

2) The chrome lining on the reflector's are MUCH more delicate than you think. They will begin to peel and\or flake off at the lightest touch, so go easily!

My two cents...

YEAP... My "seal was bad on my passenger headlamp. Driver's side seems to be "OK". We'll see after some more time passes.
