Hi dear forum members,
I replaced my leaking camshaft solenoid a while ago but don't have too many pics. The process is really easy and takes about 15-20 minutes.
There was a recall but it was revised so dealers are now told not to touch the leaking solenoid and all they do is installing additional wiring harness which doesn't cure the leak itself. Stupid, right? Don't know why they revised it and decided not to mess with a $50 part...
Anyways, here's a good DIY pdf I've found earlier.
And I dug some info in the service manual with all the part numbers.
For the sealant I used 003-989-98-20-10 from rmeuropean called:
"Sealing Compound - REINZOSIL (70 ml Tube)"
