fixed whip antenna cable

I was not getting any reception from my stereo even from FM stations only 5km away.
After reading the antenna mods in this section, I decided to pull out the antenna.
I found out that the cable ran only to about a foot in length and was not connected. Thinking that it was cut by the previous owner or by the car importer, I opened the back and removed the first aid kit to check if the remaining cable was still inside.
I found out that there was a sort of an amplifier or booster where the calls should go into.
Here is the picture of the booster:
The connector that should have been at the end of the cable was still attached to it.
All I did was remove the connector, attach it to the cable by crimping. Put mastic tape to strengthen , then reattached everything back. The reception was strong now and I was getting stations as far away as 60km.

Cool good to know. Friend fixed my poor reception a whle ago in 30 seconds and.wasn't sure what he did
