UK - SLK R172 H&R Lowering springs-£125-part number: 28913-2

Hi,
I will be selling my H&R Lowering springs soon and wondered if anyone would be interested.
been on the car 2 months and sealed with gtechniq c5.

https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/M...4e6b587&000559

£125 plus postage or pick up. cost £215 from euros.

reason for sale is, they are slightly too low on the back with 18x9 265/35/18's so need to raise the car slightly.
they are not off the car yet, but will be in the next couple of weeks.

In no particular order

1. For sale threads are not editable by the poster. If you need a change made, please contact a moderator.
2, Thread should include price, pictures, contact info like email address. Try to not post a phone number. If you have less than 15 posts, you won't be able to reply by pm as newbies won't be able to pm the seller either since they also probably have less than the required 15 posts to do so.
3. Why are threads uneditable? In case of a dispute, the seller cannot go back and say something was X when it was Y, because the seller changed it in his favor.
4. Seller, please post a reply informing us that it sold when someone buys it. Saves folks trawling for parts, only to find that they have gone.

SLKWorld is not liable for any problems that result out of participating in Buying/Selling on this site.

Let the buyer/seller beware.

Thanks.

Not sure if you are aware, but MB sells four different spring shims for the R172 that will raise the rear of the car. They range from 6.1mm to 14.5mm. Might solve your height issue.

Hi, thanks, yes I am aware, but I'm not sure what mm mine are and I didn't want to strip the suspension down, replace the hats to find it's still a bit a tight with the summer wheels, it is still an option though.

Yep, I get the same part number 204 324 16 84 for the upper 14.5mm shim.

But could you go reduce the tire size and height instead? From your current 265/35 to (a) 245/35 or (b) 255/30 that would shave off anywhere from 2 to 5% from your current setup and maybe reduce the rub in the rear. Just wondering out loud...

Hi, thanks, yes that is another option as they are fine with my winter wheel & tyre set up, however the ps4's are new and I do like the chunky look, so would prefer to keep them.
