.....so, we took the car out this morning and noted that the display was stuck on the review camera 180 deg' display. Couldn't bring any of the other screens up on the Comand display.
So my Mrs took it back to the dealership this afternoon and they spent an hour with it !!!!!
Turns out the camera isn't a factory fitted version. Something I would have thought they would have mentioned 2 weeks earlier. Looking at the Data Card and the Oasis sheets it is confirmed that option 218 was never installed.
As we don't want just the 180 deg view but would prefer the 'guidelines' image as primary I will have to approach a 3rd party installer to put in a new one. One thing that was mentioned to my wife was that the electronics may not be sync'd. So I will want that sorted.
Not sure if I can take the dealership to task on this point (yes it was identified as an issue when I was shown the car) particularly under the heading of their statement:
"Our range of premium approved used cars are subjected to a 109-point test, carried out by our industry leading technicians, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy. When we receive a used Mercedes-Benz car in to our stock, it first undergoes a rigorous inspection from a specialist Mercedes technician".
They also did an 'A' service.
I may have to bit the bullet on this one.
