Navigation Audio Fadeout

My Radio isn't fading out during Navigation announcements despite having checked the "Audio Fadeout" checkbox in Options/Settings. Anybody else experiencing this? It was working for awhile.

Since I play the radio loud, i've had to set the Nav volume even louder so Navigator is basically shouting over the radio. Then if the radio's off, when the Nav announcer comes on, it's like she's shouting at the top of her lungs!

I hate the way that women tells me what to do all the time, its like being married again!
I always have the nav sound turned off and rely on glancing at the screen.

But she does say, "please," as in, "Please prepare to turn in 500 feet."

It took me six months before I discovered that you can see navigation instructions on the multifunction display on the steering wheel as well as on the console display. Still, I miss her nagging voice if I mute her!

No guarantee this will get it back.

Lower the music volume.

When nav talking, hit + on the steering wheel.
(You can get Nav to repeat last instruction)
When happy with Nav, turn up you music volume to the level that you want.

Worth a try.

My music mutes while the nav is speaking. Would think later mercs would do the same.

thanks, Avel Du, for the suggestion. Tried it but no joy.

I'm taking my SLC in for a Service A this month and I'll see what they say about this.

By the way, how do you get the NAVI to repeat last instruction?

Not sure on the 172. But it should be in the handbook.
