Auto Dimming Mirror Stuck

Top down all June here in Somerset and most of May, woo hoo!

Coming back last night at dusk my auto dimming mirror got stuck in fully dimmed mode.

Quite weird as there were no cars behind, mirror was clean.
The moon was bright but that was in front of me!

No facility to turn if off apart from a lump of blue tack on the sensor, not a good look!
Flicking on an interior light is supposed to disable it but that didn't work.

I hope that being in permanent dim mode isn't a reflection on driver status!
Fortunately back to normal this morning so will keep an eye on it.

Anyone else experienced funny turns with their mirrors?

Check the backside of the mirror that nothing is blocking light from hitting it. I installed a dash cam up high behind the mirror and it blocked light hitting sensor and my mirror went dim. Had to move the camera.

There's a lot of bugs about just now. I'm struggling to keep windscreens clean.

This is a safety device.
If being pursued by bright red/blue led equipped cars the mirror goes into stealth mode.
It stays this way until your car reg disappears from the national wanted database.

Hang on. 172? And you use mirrors?

Not natural
