What wheels fit my SLC 300?

I was looking for a "winter wheel" for my SLC. I usually buy from TireRack, but they don't have the SLC listed yet. And I talked to a parts guy at the dealership and he says he doesn't know either and just orders by a part number so wouldn't know what wheels would fit.

I was looking at:

Sport Edition
SE-17
FRONT AND REAR:
Size: 17x7.5 (O.E. Diameter)
Finish: Silver Painted
Weight: 21.0 lbs.
Offset: +35mm
Backspacing:5.59"
Bolt Pattern:5-112
Rec. Tire Size:225/45-17

Will that work?

I guess I should double check the tires with you guys too.

Bridgestone
Blizzak WS80
Studless Ice & Snow
Size: 225/45R17*91H

I was going to have same size front and back. That is what I did with the SLK 350 as TireRack recommended not offsetting the wheels and using the same size front and rear so that I wouldn't be making wider tracks through the snow.

It probably disappeared from view.

There are definitely folk on here with the answers, just not many.

The comment about not having an offset I have read before and makes sense.

Have you thought of asking MBUSA what they recommend?
That would give you the sizes they think work and you could just source similar.

Considering you want a winter wheel I wouldn't focus on look over function too much.

I think it's a pretty good bet that your SLC takes the same size wheels and tires that the previous few years' type 172 did. TireRack.com has a recommended winter tire/rim package for the 2012 SLK. They're 16x7" wheels all the way around with a taller section on the tires (215/55H16). They also allow you to pick and match if you prefer 17" or 18".

Your owners manual should also have a listing for "same size" wheels/tires to use (with wheel offset listed), if you want more specific particulars. (The type 171 manual for the 2006 cars does, anyway...)

If you want to be 100% that they'll fit then 18 x 7.5J ET42 CB 66.6mm

I know they fit for a fact because that's what I have in mine with 225/40/R18 Michelin Latitude Alpin tyres. Mercedes winter wheel set is basically 4 of what you have on the front wheels.

I have to be honest, I can't see a 16" wheel fitting. The 18" wheels have only tiny clearance with the front brakes. 17" might go on, but I can't see how 16" will fit.

Got the new wheels and tires where I assumed 2016 SLK and 2017 SLC would be the same. They seem to fit well.

When I was putting the first one on, I jacked up the car and spun the left front wheel to make sure it was off the ground. When I did that, I noticed a piece of plastic hitting the wheel. There was a 3" by 5" or so plastic panel hanging down from the wheel well and hung on by a thin plastic thread. Turns out it is the panel that is behind the headlights. When I picked up the SLC, the left front radar sensor was loose in its hole on the bumper. I suspect the shop took the wheel off (because it was on tight as hell) and then reached the radar sensor through that hole. Then they didn't put it back right. You have to have the bottom in and push the top part in the opening and then slide it down. I suspect they didn't slide it down sufficiently.
