Euro Road Trip

At the end of June i did a 2500 mile SLK road trip with my friend Sean in his Honda NSX. We caught an early morning Eurotunnel and then over the next ten days did Bastogne ( out of respect for our American friends ), Sinsheim Technic Museum, Eagles Nest in Bavaria, Austrian Alps, Zeppelin Museum In Freidrichshafen, Schlumpf Collection in Mulhouse, Speyer Technic Museum, visited the old Reims Circuit and the Vimy Ridge Memorial ( out of respect for our Canadian friends ) on the way back. Truly epic road trip, neither car missed a beat, just fun fun fun all the way! Oh and a delightful section of deristricted Autobahn in Germany, all i will say is that the maximum speed listed in the handbook is achievable!

Cool...

Did a very similar thing at the beginning of July...

https://www.slkworld.com/united-kingd...euro-trip.html

I didn't do Vmax down the autobahn, but did get to 221 km/h on the sat-nav before my co-pilot 'suggested' that might be fast enough.... To be honest, I was quite impressed at just how strong and drama free the little 1.8L four-banger was on the autobahn at 160+ km/h.
