Hub axle dyno tune

woo hoo very excited as i am taking my SLK machine to get a proper hub dyno tune.
after having headers fitted and custom exhaust, the tune that was performed , i was certainly not happy with their procedure and honestly feel there is more varoom left in my engine..
so i have sourced a guy that specialises in performance tuning and has just come back from europe researching and spending over 60 K to bring some goodies back to Australia
i will get before and after dyno results and have been guaranteed a NO CHARGE policy if there is no significant change in figures ...
so lets see what we can do , will keep you all posted , hopefully this time no disappointment or flat spots or make believe stories about why the car does not work the way it should ..

just picked up car

was very interesting to see how much difference there was in results from one tune to another ..
i only seemed to manage around 10 kw increase in performance at certain points through the rev range and top end gain of about 5 kw

BUT the main differences are
1. idle runs so smooth atm
2. cold start up does not over fuel
3. all flat spots completely gone
4. responsive at all throttle points , with no lag
5. obviously more power whilst driving
6. at time my engine would sound like it was splattering n acceleration which i know is ether a ignition timing or AF ratio gone a miss.. this is completely gone from my car

simply the car is easier to drive , smoother to run and has more grunt

so from doing the exhaust (thanks to J Banks for the suggestion) and from having not one but 2 tunes done, the car drives how it should
did i mention it sounds awesome as well
kirky144, dbgrn and WoZ53 like this.
