This afternoon I picked up my newly Kleemanned '05 slk 350. Needless to say, car sounded amazing and had some extra oomph. However, a moment ago I started the car and the CEL was on. The car seems to idle roughly sometimes but not always. Also has a bit of clunking in the front when it idles roughly. Engine and tranny mounts are basically new. I will go check the code tomorrow, just curious if anyone has any insight because I'm a bit worried that this CEL is on.
who did the flash?
mine was done by Kleemann, so no cel from tune/headers.
was cel present when you picked up car from mechanic?
O2 sensors fell out of down pipes (see my pics)?
hmmm just a thought as i have an slk350 as well with the same headers.. whilst doing my tune my harmonic balancer failed ,which may lead to a rough idle and send of CEL .
Jeff, yes the flash was done by Kleemann. Got the code checked yesterday. Turns out it was my intake manifold flap, which had already been sticking for several months but had never caused a CEL. I guess the tune prompted the computer to start caring about it.
A question about this mod , Are the front two Cats the same rating as the rear two Cats or is its like a master Cat & a secondary Cat , If the same ratings its does not matter which ones are removed the results coming out the tail pipes will be the same from a gases points of view.
