Exhausts ... I have a plan...

Morning all...

Fact finding at the moment so bear with me....

A common mod for the 350 owners seems to be the fitting of a 55 exhaust (from the join near the X-pipe backwards)

So - need confirmation / answers on the following..

1 - the 55 exhaust is a straight bolt on in terms of pipe diameter where the mounting flanges meet (I understand the 350 has the pipes 'the other way round' so that they don't mate up unless cut off and swapped over)

2 - forgetting the rear exhaust boxes and stuff, if a 55 exhaust was turned upside down so the mounts / flanges were now correct, does it bolt on or are there still differences in the lengths of the pipes

3 - are the pipes (pre-backbox) the same diameter on a 350 and 55 exhaust ..?

and finally

4 - any differences in the postion of the mounts..?

Cheers
Sean

Having read up on a few things, mainly on here, I'm still formulating my 'plan'

As a minumum I'll be doing the X-Pipe mod....

But does anyone (UK based!!) have a 350 exhaust that they're looking to move on ... back boxes not needed, ideally just the bit from the connectors to the 45 degree bends (where the system branches out to the back boxes), but a whole one would do ..

And yes, it will go 'under the knife' (or grinder as may be the case...)

Cheers
Sean
