I COULD answer your question, but then I would be denying Jeff the pleasure of you finding it using search!

I use the OBDLink LX Scan tool in my SLK and our Fiat 500 in combination with the Torque Pro App without any issues!
You can leave it plugged in, it will not drain your battery

OBD Key is a branded one I've used and Torque has to be one of, if not the best app. Even the free version is pretty good.

Also worth noting that the Bluetooth OBD devices don't in my experience, connect with iPhone. For that you need a wifi version..

Apple has made some minor changes in the I-phone BlueTooth stack.
Manufacturers of Bluetooth equipment have to pay for tha compatibility.

Sounds like apple are going the same way Microsoft went

Attacked by many microsoft haters as in viruses .
There os is so confusing and they have dropped there prices down which was unheard of many years ago .
