short throw shifter?

For the 6spd owners out there...I've been thinking about installing a short throw shifter. Has anyone done this?

How?

How would you propose doing this? I have a 6 speed also. I haven't seen/heard of it being done.

^I haven't seen/heard of it either. I have no idea how it would be done. All I know is that the shifter pull is a little longer than I would like it to be. I've seen short throw kits for VW and was wondering if that might work. I need to replace my shift knob as well and I'm having trouble even finding one.

From what I have read the 6 speed is already considered a short throw. If you want t shorter would probably have to make/have made a lever linkage set. As for just kno. Replacement just suck it up and go to dealer. Most of the used ones will have cracked clear coat a And worn leather.
