My Past Projects

Figured I'd share some of my past projects with you guys/gals!!!

My MB SLK230 is my first European car, and not my last!!! but prior to that I was a big time builder and fabricator of hot rods, racecars, street rods..you name it!!! Then as the kids got older the bills got bigger..sorta on a car building break!!! LOL

I usually always have something cooking in my garage and my last project was a Jeep CJ7 that I ended up selling for $7000 and buying my R170 for $6400..so a pretty good trade off I got!

Here was the last project I got rid of this past May:

1981 Jeep CJ with a Chevy 350 engine. Had about $5000 invested in it, sold for 7K than bought Lucy for $6400!!

Before the CJ I was working on a RAT ROD..1928 REO four door sedan...I lost interest in it and actually traded that for the above Jeep!!!

Before the REO..I raced lawn mowers!!!! Yes I admit I did!!! LOL

Don't laugh...This mower made 57HP from a 20hp Briggs and Stratton engine block! Then I got a random call one day from MTV wanting to buy my mower for a new upcoming show called NITRO CIRCUS...they wanted my mower to try and set some world records on...and they did!!! Worlds fastest modified lawn mower top speed of 61MPH!!

Here is a quick video of the show opening with them "trying" to jump my mower! '

Prior to the mower I built this hotrod...

1930 Ford I built from scratch..454 Big block Chevy

That's about it for recent stuff!! The list goes on but that's just a little taste about me!

Amazing. That hotrod is beautiful. I see now why you're doing your SLK work with so much confidence.

Thanks!! Nothing really scares me to tackle...Hect I even went out and bought a used sewing machine when I made the canvas roof for that hot rod!!! I like doing stuff 100% as much as I can...Only downfall with the more modern cars is that I don't have all the diagnostic equipment like a dealer would have.

All my project were painted in my garage as well...the hotrod actually has a $15.00 RUSTOLEUM paint job I did on it!!! I mixed flat black and gloss red till I got the color that I liked!
