C class stands for.. chevy?

I see them everywhere. Every man woman child and 4 pawed beast in them. Has the C class become so attainable that the masses of middle america have decided to join the upper ranks? Has MB come down to meet market demand and the ever changing economy? Come to think of it, I keep seeing more and more porsche suv's around as well.

What is the world coming to..

I've actually see more C-class than I do Honda Civics. All 4-matics, good for Colorado weather. 1/4 of the cars on the CarMax lots are C-classes. They shipped them here from all over the nation and goes for about mid to high 20's. You can't get a brand new Accord for that money.

997 TPC turbo C4S
981 Boxster S
06' SLK 350, Iridium/Ash all pkgs. 6-spd, 19" DCR. (Gone but not forgotten)

Here in Fairfield County, Connecticut the C Class 4Matic is about as ubiquitous as the Accord and Camry. I must see 100 of them per day. Mostly 300's but maybe 1/3 are 350's.

My R Class is fairly rare but I still see a few every week. Hardly ever an R500 though.

As for SLK's, I've seen one other in the 60 days or so I've had my car. It was a white 2012 or 13 SLK55.

Meanwhile, I've seen two Aston Martin Vanquish's. Several Jaguar F types, always in black. A Viper today. 1 Shelby Cobra. 1 Ford GT. 1 Maserati Quattroporte. 1 Porsche 911 Turbo S. Countless Vettes and Mustang GT's and Camaro's.

I never really gave much thought to the SLK before I bought one but I guess they really are pretty rare cars. Or maybe just not that popular here in the Northeast.

You know I saw a lot more SLK's before I got my business cards for the forum. And since I have received them, I haven't seen ONE. It's totally crazy.

the c's are still.. everywhere.. ugh.

I concur, I use to work down around the Greenwich area in CT and the different types of cars I'd see everyday on the Merrit Parkway was amazing!!!

But even up in my neck of the woods here in CT...the C Class is everywhere!!!

Hi there. Here in Brisbane, Australia, a new C200 W204 MY13, will set you back $67554 on the road ($61919.91 US on today's conversion rate). So here in Aus., the price still sits within the medium to upper levels of vehicles. The basic cars over here, the Ford Falcon and Holden (GM) Commodore, will set you back $31885 for the Ford and $33888 for the Holden. These are the base model prices with on road costs included. So how's that for a comparison?

Several folks in my neighborhood have C-Class M-Bs. I think they look nice but indeed they are very common models. I rarely see SLKs on the road or anywhere for that matter. I used to see an SLK on my way to work on a regular basis, but haven't for a couple of months now. I like the fact that SLKs are a rare breed. I think that's why the intrigue factor is more pervasive with onlookers compared to when I'm driving my wife's BMW, which I will be replacing soon with a sportier car.

I see about a 60/40 split of C-class/ E-class Mercedes in Southern California. They're both very common on my daily commute.
What I think is cool is that my wife and I agreed we would have no kids, and therefore didn't need the two rear seats. Most C-class/E-class I've noticed are family owned, or young people starting out on their "fabulous careers".

The Phoenix Market is flooded with the C Class. Of course we got 4 Mb Dealers in Town. The C Class is not a bad Car but the resale Value is terrible. Great if you are Buyer terrible if you want to trade the Car in.

I guess it is the Bread and Butter Car for Mb the same can said about Bmws 1 and 3 Series here in Phoenix.

My better half bought her C240 in 2002 and still going strong. It is a great car and listed in the mid $30's when we bought it. It is a fun car to drive to be a 4 door. I think the 2014's will be made in the plant here in Tuscaloosa so I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of them since the MB employees and a lot of city, county, and state officials will be given one.
