Finally my new ride arrived

After a long waiting period and putting 567 000 Mile on my 2015 Volvo with a 10 speed manual my new ride finally arrived. With a tear in my eye I took my beloved Betsy for another trip to Las with a trailer full of Pine Apples.

I now join the rang of steering wheel holders. My new Peterbilt is an automatic 12 Speed Transmission come thinking everything on this darn Truck is automatic. Transmission Cruise Control Windows Mirrors and it got automatic Front Radar to slow the truck down when I come too close to a car truck in front of me. It sure makes every passing an adventures.

I now have to think 2 steps ahead of that @#$%^&^%$#$%^%$ Computer under my Butt to pass without loosing speed.

And that darn thing BEEPS all day long !!!! It beeps when my door is open it beeps when I manually up shift it and the computer says no. It beeps when I hold my sack of White Castles Cheesburgers the wrong way. Told the shop if they do not find a way to stop the beeping I gonna put a Bullet into into the instrument Cluster till the beeping stops.

On the upside driving is fun when you get used too it tons of torque and horse power 500 to be correct. The Jake Brake slows this Truck down like a fly on the windshield. The sleeper is nice and big tons of room and the mattress is to die for. And Uphill it pulls like crazy. The MPG on my 1st trip was 8.8 what is fantastic for an Engine with 1100 Miles on it and is not broken in yet the new The Cummings Engine is the AMG Motor in the trucking world

Heavy-Duty Truck Engine, The Cummins X15

It comes even with a Sticker in the Glove box Pouch that says built by Bubba.....

Here is some info for your Truck Fans with Specs and you even can built your own.

Like any good american product it went already in the shop..... it jumped into Neutral when I was going down the hill and would not go back into gear so I took that downgrade with 87 MPH the full mileage was fantastic 99.7 MPG with 79.000 pounds under my Butt.

I wonder if I should add some chrome to my new ride.....

You never forget your first.

Got to drive one of these around the yard when I was 14.

30 tonnes of steel on the back. Almost a 55 grin.

Unbelievably easy to drive.

Enjoy the new tin can, Dan. (Hmm, sounds like a nickname )

No chrome, but there are definitely a lot of hours in that. Polished aluminum.

You are so right I was 15 when I went with my neighbor and his 2800 Daf all the way to Istanbul what an adventures it was going over the Brenner and the Bridge in Istanbul. Would not mind doing that trip again.
