Difficulty in getting out

Do you find European cars hard to get out of. I think its because they are so low. I've come to the conclusion the only way forward is WTO or the Walk To Office solution.

Answers on a post card though I probably wont pay any attention :-)

When you see a woman in a short skirt get in or out of a low-slung roadster you'll know why we call them 'sport cars'.
Edit: I didn't have a post card handy.

Why get out.

Slks are comfortable, mile munchers.
Stay in and don't let your day get spoilt.

I thought I was comfortable in, but decided to get out. The car has other ideas and seems determined to keep me. It disrupts all my efforts to contrary.

I'm 73, have two bum knees and have no complaints about getting in and out of my SLK with the top down. Yes, it's not as easy as getting in and out of my GLK, but that's a question of the distance between the ground and the driver's seat, not country of origin. I doubt getting in and out of a Mazda Miata or Pontiac Solstice would be any easier. Top up is another matter entirely. It makes getting in and out very uncomfortable and I feel like I'm doing yoga or some other form of contortions, so I avoid it like the plague. Not a problem though, since my SLK is strictly for fun, so I only drive on sunny days and only park in my garage or places where I feel comfortable leaving the top down. Definitely would not want to own a coupe as low slung as the SLK.
