Unhappy There goes the cheap Japanese Classic Car Market 1971 Datsun 240Z

CURRENT BID: $47,500 ENDS IN: 2 Days

This 1971 Datsun 240Z was sold new and serviced until 1980 by Bankston Datsun in Irving, Texas, and was acquired by the selling dealer a year ago following 38 years of storage in a barn. A subsequent refurbishment included a glass-out repaint in Safari Gold, reupholstering the seats with new foam and covers, as well as refreshments of the suspension and braking systems. Power is from a 2.4L straight-six which was partially disassembled and inspected before being fitted with a new timing chain, gaskets, and more. This 240Z is offered with records, over 600 photos documenting the refurbishment process, and a clean Oklahoma title.

There are two born every minute ? Japanese Domestic Market cars are very popular these days. Personally had only on rice burner, a '74 808 Mazda for SCCA showroom stock racing. Was supposed to be a two year rule, current and previous year models. Could beat anything except a 73 Opel 1900 but they would be gone in 75. Then SCCA changed the rule and 73s could run in 75. Removed the roll bar and sold the Coupe.

Now are enough interesting cars (hard to find a tall coupe though) that there is no need to look to the far East so I don't.

ps thought the factory exhaust was supposed to be dual stacked pipes...
