Fire extinguisher another way.

Checked all threads on mounting a fire extinguisher in an SLK. Found out that some of you (and me as well) have the fire extinguisher deep in the boot/trunk and consequently safely stowed away, I would say

I had a look at mounting a bracket for a unit in front of either seats, but using MB:s original parts would then leave me with little choice on what to put there. So I looked for some alternatives. It ended up in me buying a whole bunch of MAUS Xtin - one for each employee and a couple for the family. It´s NOT the best and durable unit on the market - but that´s not the point. It´s so small that you can fit it almost anywhere and thus very quick to reach. Cost in Sweden (expensive country) is around 60 USD and they last for 5 years (check expiry date if you buy one).

One very good thing - you don´t mess up the things you use it on, as it leaves no residues (could think you need to do some cleaning, despite the ads).
