Thumbs down I am fed up with lousy Customer Service in America

Well this week was another one of the weeks when "Stuff" broke Smart Phone Samsung oven.

It took me 7 trips to the Verizon Store before my phone was activated and working correctly.... I hate setting foot in that store I rather play poker with the Devil.

And today our 6 month old Samsung Stove started having problems.
Here is how the Story goes....

I call Sears.....it rings 3 times than this lovely automated voice tells me right of the back you can talk to me like a Human...?!?

How can I help you?
Me. I need to schedule a Service Call for my Stove I bought at Sears 6 month ago...( can you believe it I am talking to a Computer Voice well at least I did not get connected to India ...there Phone Lines always sound like they bought a Russian Space Ship at an auction and parked it behind the moon I thought to myself)

She. OK I be glad to assist you...
Me ....Thank you..

than the big silence .....you could hear in the back round a noise that she crossed her memory stick with an Analog Antenna... than the voice comes back and says...

She ...

I checked your Records and you have to call Samsung...

Me

Okay..
She
Do you want the number?

Me

Yes please......still talking to an automated voice...

than silence again and she tells me the number for Samsung in Spanish

Me

@#$%^%$#$% %^*&^% in German and than I say Good Bye.

I go on the Intra Net look at the number for Samsung dial it......and here is this lovely automated voice saying... "Our offices are closed today and please call back at a later time."......

I surrender ......to the automated world of Smart Phones and Computer Voices speaking with an Accent

Obviously you need your smart phone to talk to Samsung and your stove to talk to Verizon (and have the trashcan tune the TV...)

I share your pain, Dan.

I like to praise good service.
Seldom feel the need.

... maybe you need to switch to iPhone. By the way, Sears has been downgraded to “penny stock.” It’s no longer listed with the big boys anymore. Most of the companies have outsourced their tech support to India, which in turn uses 3rd party AI. That’s why your customer service sucks. With the exception of Apple, most customer service is not run by the same company that built your device/appliance. The AI/techs use a knowledge base. The AI IS much faster than a human in troubleshooting your issues but unless the results of the proper solution are not added to the weighted proper answer, you’ll get crap AI replies. The lousy customer service is a result of the company who loaded the knowledge base with results as well as the builder of the actual knowledge base itself. Welcome to globalization!
