time for a new charger

Hi all, just back from 2 weeks holiday in Madeira - fantastic place, first time I've been there and would recommended it, really beautiful and friendly and you can get around the entire island by bus.

Anyway, I knew 2 weeks would cut it fine with the battery and there's not enough power in it to turn the car over so I'm off to buy a charger as my current one is roughly 40 years old and I think was last used to start a BMC A series engine when the fashion was two-tone suits and loafers !!!!!

I have used my friend the search facility and see that a lot of people here use C-teks - just wondered what version people would recommend, I've been looking at either the MXS7.0 or the MXS5.0. Any recommendations ??

thanks

neil

I looked at the Cteks and they look good but when I bought a shiny new AGM battery, I wanted something with an actual readout as opposed to a led gauge. I bought the Ring RSC612 https://www.amazon.co.uk/RSC612-Batt...productDetails which appears to to everything the most expensive Cteks do but with a data screen. Only thing the ring does not have is the quick connect leads. I have since adapted a pair of Ctek quick connect plugs to the Ring.
