LHD w/ AMG Kit: 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280E in UK
This 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280E is an AMG kitted Euro market example that was imported to the UK earlier this year. The seller describes the car as being rust-free, and photos show a good looking example with relatively few cosmetic blemishes for a vehicle of its age. MB’s M110 twin cam six is a nice sounding, smooth, revvy and decently torquey motor, and though the automatic trans fitted here isn’t 100% ideal, the company’s manual gearboxes are almost never anything to write home about. Find it here on eBay in Southampton, England for 10k GBP (-$12k USD today).

1988 Mercedes-Benz 300E 3.2L AMG
his 1988 Mercedes-Benz 300E 3.2L AMG shares its extroverted bodywork with the 6.0L V8-powered Hammer, but is instead powered by a bored and stroked version of the standard M103 inline-six paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This AMG was recently imported from Japan and shows just 79k kilometers (~49k miles) from new. This pre-merger car has strong cosmetics inside and out, and benefits from several recent services including new shocks, a valve adjustment, and fresh fluids throughout. This early AMG is offered by BaT regulars Mendels’ Garage with a clean Pennsylvania title.
