Fleece Filters

I haven't seen the fleece filters that he recommends. Are they made for the SLK250?

well I feel a whole lot better

about dropping my oils and filters at about 6,000+ miles or so on my cars. I've always rebelled against a 13,000 mile regime on the diesel, and the 10,000 regime on the petrol engines. Cripes, I pay 2.20 a litre for chevron fully-synth at Costco. it is rated for the diesels as well. I could bath in it at that price. I am moving away from Mobil 1 and probably going to use the Chevron all the time. If I change my mind, I'll use MB's own new fancy-schmancy put-it-in-any-merc oil. The dealer sell it for the same price as Costco do on Mobil1.

I've always used Hengst, Bosch, or more recently ( last 5 years or so) Mann&Hummel filters. I'm not convinced paying the extra to get them in a Mercedes carton is worth it. I can sue the hell out of the Motor Factors just as well as MB if something goes wrong...
