Windows 10 software condemned by Which? - BBC News

Which reviews the recent Windows 10 experience for users.

Quote:
Microsoft has been criticised over its Windows 10 software by consumer rights group Which?.
The body said it had received hundreds of complaints about the upgrade, including lost files, emails no longer syncing and broken wi-fi and printing.
In some cases, it said, users had had to pay for their computer to be repaired.
Microsoft defended its software and highlighted that it provided help online and by phone.
"The Windows 10 upgrade is a choice designed to help people take advantage of the most secure and most productive Windows," said a spokesman.
"Customers have distinct options. Should a customer need help with the upgrade experience, we have numerous options including free customer support."
I just love the MS quote "The Windows 10 upgrade is a choice designed to help people take advantage of the most secure and most productive Windows"
Because for myself and many others it wasn't a choice,
it was a deceit.
By clicking the 'x' to close a window when one of the repetitive ads for 10 popped up,
the software made my pc accept to install 10.
THAT IS NOT CHOICE! EVER!
Now I get constant pop up as a specially selected user to rate them.
Simply put, I don't rate them.
I NO LONGER TRUST THEM!
Every time I close an MS pop up I have to wonder what useless product have I just agreed to
install without my knowledge this time.
BECAUSE YOU CANNOT CLOSE A POP UP IN SAFETY!
The delivery method of MS proved this.

It saved me money though.
It stopped my office purchase dead in it's tracks.
No way can I trust MS software to safely and securely handle data ever again.

I have now found two, safe, secure methods of avoiding all MS purchases.
Use my old pc as a stand alone, isolated from the internet, machine with it's
old office software.
OR
Pen, paper and a calculator.

Best bonuses from both options:
NO POP UPS
NO BACKDOOR SOFTWARE DOWNLOADS
NO HACKING EVER.
NO NEED TO PAY MS A DIME!

Thanks for Windows 10, MS.
I've saved a fortune and you've convinced me to totally mistrust IT
even if you have decent security installed.

Yes, Microsoft (and most big businesses) really wind me up. I wish I had the experience, intelligence and time to look into Linux.
