Things we cannot live without other than our SLK's

Hello,

Obviously we are all here to share our passion and love for our SLK's list 5 to 10 other things that you must have with you and your enthusiastic about.

1) iMac 27 I just love this computer and I use it all the time to download movies, documentaries,mp3 and tv shows. I also use it heavily to waste time and browse the net and do basic stuff. The iMac is a piece of art and it's a thing of beauty.

2) Nesspresso Pixie, this to me is like washing my teeth(routine) when I wake up nothing gets you're super optimistic and ready for a long work like coffee. It looks great, makes good coffee and smells amazing. A good espresso and a heavy breakfast is a must.

3) Rolex Daytona, it's my favorite watch out of my watch collection it's very comfortable and durable. I wear it everyday and it's very versatile as I can dress up for work(formal) or dress it down(casual) no problem. It's a teenage dream as a child and I'm very thankful that I got my holygrail 2 years ago.

4) Nikon D60, I've had it for 4 years now and every now and then I'll load the sd card on my computer and remember those beautiful vacation days.

5) Internet, can't live without it... I like to browse YouTube, car and watch forums and download tv shows and movies.

Share your list with us.

Interesting list - I'll have a go! :-)

1] Internets - don't seem to be able to live with out them! Solve my problem by taking a Thrane & Thrane Explorer 300 with me when I travel somewhere with no internet. Extra is that it gives me voice as well if needed.

2] Samsung Series 9 - not quite a MacBook Air, but as close as you can get and have Windows at your fingertip - 3 lbs with charger!

3] Sea Dweller. Same comments! :P

4] iPhone - funny, that one - couple few years ago, I had a Sony "SmartPhone", and could have cared less - now, I feel naked without the iPhone.

5] Point & Shoot of the moment - I've still got the iPhone 4, so less than stunning camera. I've got a Nikon D90, but most of the time I've got my Lumix TZ20. After seeing GeeJay's Canon, I think I know what my next point and shoot will be.

6] Passport - again, I feel like something's missing if I don't have it with me!

Great topic........have to agree with coffee and a "heavy breakfast"....also the Internet. Here are a few of my most valued personal possessions other than the SLK of course....not in any particular order.

1) The new ML...a wonderful long distance cruiser.....safe, quiet, and a joy to drive.

2) Our country home.....peaceful, comfortable, and apart from others.

3) My tractor which works hard and never lets me down.

4) The truck....fearless, dependable, cares not whether its rain, snow, highway, or prairie field.

That's a good point Mo - and other than the Wifey and the SLK, for sure the next most important thing!

Short list for me...

1. My wife of forty years

2. Home, wherever that may be

3. My laptop and the Internet (moving to a MacBook Pro with retina display)

4. Disposable income for the fun things in life.

I'll give it a shot. This is only on things as Mo initially posted. It goes without mentioning that family and friends are most important. Here are some other things that I think I cannot live without (although strictly speaking, I can):

1. Internet. Wi-fi preferred
2. iPhone
3. comfortable bed
4. Warm showers
5. Cafe latte/ dark robust coffee

I'm going to exclude friends and family. That goes without saying.

1. My camera. Currently a Canon 7D.
2. Wine. Red wine in particular. Preferably shiraz with a good steak to match.
3. My music collection, via my lovely new Audio-Technica headphones.
4. An occasional trip to Lech in Austria to go skiing.
5. Regular weekend motorcycle rental to help me get my two wheeled obsession out of my system and ensure I don't do something silly like buy one.

Going to leave out friends and family too.

1. Work. Have to pay the bills, fuel the SLK and "buy happiness".
2. All that stuff that I use to clean my SLK. =)
3. What you guys said that we take for granted. A good bed for a great rest every night.
4. Good tasting, fresh clean water. Why is that so hard to find? We're able to send people to space and back, build millions of computer chips on a grain of sand, clone animals and fly faster than the speed of sound. Fresh available water should be a no brainer.
5. The Internet, and all my devices that connect to it.

Great Thread:

Here are some of Gene's simple pleasures.

Rubber Hammer - Can't believe it took me 50 years to figure out how neat it is to be able to wail away at something without damaging it!
Spray can of Adhesive Remover - Make any price tag disappear from picture glass and not leave a trace - also works on Car Badges !
Harbor Freight Tool Store - I love just wandering around in there.

I agree, neat tool store. Chances are, you'll buy something you think you'll need, but never use. OK quality, low prices.
