Flagstaff residents wake up to rare November snow

I think I will put a Detour Sign on the Road and let them Snowbirds go thru the Mountains...

FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Snow is falling in Arizona!

Flagstaff and other areas in northern Arizona woke up to snow on the ground Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service says Flagstaff Airport received 4.5” of snow at the airport.

According to NWS, measurable snow has only fallen three times on November 4 in Flagstaff.

Dating back to 1898, measurable snow has only fallen 3 other times on Nov. 4th in FLG. Daily record is 5" set in 1925.

All schools in flagstaff school district are on a two hour delay because of the road conditions.

Forecasters say snow accumulations are expected to generally range from 1 to 6 inches depending on location, but with up to a foot or more on the highest mountain peaks.

Glad I am going to sunny Las Vegas today and not NM
