Live Auction for a 1967 250 SL
The Car looks pretty good for a Weekend Driver. The Rusty Panel can be replaced thru the MB Classic Center.
This 1967 Mercedes Benz 250SL is a 3 owner example that has remained in Fort Wayne, Indiana since new. The car has never been restored and retains its original engine. It was ordered new by noted Indiana architect Orus Eash, who specified European delivery for he and his wife to tour Europe before shipping it back home to Fort Wayne. It was then sold to Ray Collins in 1980, then owner of Fort Wayne Oldsmobile, who kept the car for 35 years and always had it garaged and properly maintained. The seller purchased the car from Mr. Collins earlier this year and says it starts easily and runs well, though should be gone through before long distance trips or rallies. The sale includes both the factory soft top and hard top.
