Mazda Miata Joins RHT Rear-Drive Club

The Mazda Miata will offer a retractable hardtop (RHT) for 2007.

I feel a kinship with our SLK because, although Volvo, Pontiac, VW, etc. also offer RHTs, the Miata is the only other new one with sporty rear-wheel-drive performance.

(I omitted Chevy's SSR truck on purpose.)

Styling from the side looks nice but not as elegant as the R171. Does anyone have front, rear and front three-quarter views of the Miata?

There was a brief artical in one of the National papers on the MX5 hardtop (as it is known in the UK) it said, that early models would have the same spec engine (2.0) and therefore a lower performance. It also said that the boot (trunk) space would be about the same, ie almost non existant.
