I totally agree with you. Hammond and May are good guys. Clarkson, I don't even listen to him anymore especially in regards to reviews of American cars (except for Ford GT40). I suppose he is there to provide 'entertainment value' to the show.

Hi All

Come on people you think this is down to just one person & how about the production team on this program do they never have a say, I did read that the other cars had not so funny number plates on them to . The BBC know what there are doing ,They know Clarkson & how he comes across but he is still in the same jobs making millions for the BBC around the world . Not say JC is an escape goat but I think the BBC & JC go hand in hand . Its all about the money .

Cheers

I believe most of the things on the show are scripted like a reality show. Kind of like Kitchen Nightmares. But people like to watch drama and the chemistry between Clarkson and the other hosts/audience of the show create that creates 'entertainment value'. i.e. asking the audience which car should be considered for the cool board and then going against everyone's wishes. But I enjoy watching the show and take it for what it is - entertainment - not real motoring journalism (that is only my opinion).

But here's a thought: Think of what the show would be without Clarkson? It would not be the same show.
