Man! I bought the wrong roadster

You have two kinds of advert. The fascinating ones.

And the boring one.

MG knew how to sell its cars.

This was my last MG - a B though, not a Migget. Sold in 1985.

Sorry no Pics on my Sprite MK IV it caught on Fire back in 81. Back in the Days they did not have Iphones and the Instant Cam would not fit it the Glove Box or in my Back Pocket.

That thing went up in Flames faster than the Hindenburg. The Car looked like this before the Fire

I always liked MG's, but always questioned their reliability. I know that they were finicky in the least, but they epitomized the British roadster IMHO. The closest thing that I had was a 1972 TR6. Fun to drive and sounded like a roadster should sound. Keeping the dual carbs. balanced was always a problem. Then one day driving down the interstate at about 55mph, the front wheel just up and BROKE off........another one of those stories where I can say I'm glad I'm still alive.

I too had an MG (Though not a real one as some purists would say..)

Full on MG CarClub member back in the day, and have a shelf full of Auto-test trophies to my name for my efforts..

Lowered (extremely), 15" custom made rims, 1380 A series, 135 bhp, lightened, every thing non essential removed, full roll cage, straight through 2.5" exhaust...

Good fun....

Cheers
Sean

Saw a Tiger on our road trip to Niagara... very rare in the great white north.
