I've always considered myself a good parallel parker, so when I got the new daily driver (Ford Escape) I didn't think I would use the feature at all. But, I must say, It is the coolest thing. Press the button and the car identifies the parking space. It then tells you to "pull forward" and once far enough it tells you "put the car in reverse and let go of the steering wheel". The rest is all up to the car, the driver simply pushes the gas and the brake pedals. It's strange at first because the car really cuts it close. But once the car has backed into the spot, it tells you "put the car in drive", you pull up a little and the car finishes up by announcing "Parking is Complete".

The whole thing now has made me very lazy and I never manually parallel park anymore unless I'm in the Mercedes Benz.

I really like the feature, I hope I don't forget how to do it myself cause you know what they say........"practice makes perfect".
