LAX Blows!

Well, here we sit waiting for our flight to Frankfurt. I've been in terminals all over the world. And I have to say that LAX is one of the worst airports I've ever been to. We went through 2 incorrect, lengthy, lines (on the directions of airport employees) before we got to where we were supposed to be. Then, after getting through security we thought we would grab a bite to eat. There is only ONE, literally, hole in the wall, to get a hot dog, a sausage, some chips and a couple of sodas for $18!! I understand the "bend over" pricing at the airports, but to only have one place to eat...THAT'S RIDICULOUS!!!

OK, I'm on a . Traveling used to be fun.

Edit: Alright...they do have free wireless, but they could use more power outlets.

, couldn't agree more, for a place that has that much traffic, you'd think it'll be designed better. I hate to have to take the bus to get to the international terminal.

Kevin, think LONG term. LAX will shorty become a distant memory. Have a safe trip and good luck and enjoy the new job and new location. I've done a lot of traveling in my life. Haven't been on a airplane since July 95. Don't have a desire to go anywhere that requires an airplane.

Bon Voyage Kevin. We did think and talked about you today at the SoCal drive on Mount Baldy.

I was charged for wireless.
I agree that the facilities provided are probably some of the worse you can find in the world. The layout and indications are not too bad.

Okay, it's been a long time since I was traveling around Africa, but I've been places that make LAX sound like heaven

Air travel in general is just a pain in the ass these days, something to be endured rather than enjoyed.

That's too funny, Scott.

Well, we finally made it after 10 hrs. and 15 mins...PHEW!! Thanks for the thought eddy...and you're right -1-, I was having trouble seeing the forest through the trees.

Germany is as beautiful as I remember. Even though its been a little rainy...it still beats the desert look! Hopefully we'll be getting some snow soon. When we do, I'll post some pics.

Still trying to overcome the jetlag. I hate feeling spent at 3 pm and waking up at 2 in the morning. I should be adjusted by the end of the weekend.

Congrats mate. Germany is gorgeous. I do the USA - Europe journey a lot I always try to stay awake when I arrive, get a big meal for dinner (tea) then get down to the pub at 7pm for a few beers and I wake up the next morning like I've never even travelled. Alcohol beats jet lag everytime.
