Vegas trip info?

Guys off to vegas for a weekend 8th dec. Not booked the hotel yet. Any reccomendations? last time I went I stayed off the strip due to have free points to stay but this time not sure.. Anyone know any good sites to get deals or just the best hotel? P.S. it's going to be a big pishup, nothing romantic. TIA, Brian

try vegas.com. There's a Hilton Grand Vacation Resort just north of Circus Circus that have good rooms (separate bedroom with whirlpool tub next to the bed) but has no casino -- family oriented. I like Paris in Las Vegas.

If you're looking to be off the strip, I'd recommend Red Rock Hotel and Casino Resort. It's the newest addition to the Station Casino Family. However, the cheapest room is roughly $130/night. But it is very nice. And it doesn't have that "we want all your money" atmoshpere. Although, they still do. They have to pay for the $980+ million note. But, eddy is right...Paris is very cool. Might make you a little home sick for Europe though.

Too bad you weren't coming a few days earlier. The wife and I will be in LA for 9 Dec departure.

Doesn't really matter where you stay. You will spend very little time in your room. Way too much to do. I like staying on the strip. Enjoy!

Thanks mate, I picked the MGM grand. Guess it was just the central location on the strip.

That's what I meant exactly. Construction cost were just shy of the $1 Billion mark...unbelieveable.

MGM is good. Alladin and Paris on the same block. Monte Carlo and Bellagio across the street. Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Exalibur just one block south.
