what do you want for Christmas??

so... now that the holiday shopping season is officially here... what do you want for Christmas?

i'm hoping for a couple of tommy bahama shirts, maybe a new putter (oddessy or scotty cameron) and of course starbucks and lowes gift cards are always great.

most importantly i really want peace, love and happiness for all of the good people in the world.

I've been very fortunate and I can say I don't asked for much nor want anything I don't already have. Sounds cheesy but all I want is for everyone I know to be happy and healthy.

That's what my kids asked me today at Thanksgiving lunch.
"Peace, love, health, happiness to everyone." is my Christmas wish.

Health to all. But as said before, i got pretty much everything I need. The only thing I really "want" is some more toys . Or stuff for my toys. Im very guilty of to many hobbies.

I honestly have more fun thinking of stuff to give other people, because i get really uncomfortable when recieving gifts! just me, and it sounds corny, but i actually prefer giving then recieving...(dont let that go into the gutter either! ).

Xmas Desires...

The small, red SLK kid's peddle car at the dealer. I know, I'm way too big for it, but it's cheaper then the electric one, and it's actually my car's color! It would look cool in front of the car at car shows.

Only thing tho, Jeremy, the little boy who lives with his mom in my townhouse. I have addicted him to cars, and since he's always out by my garage, he'll see it. On one hand, I would want to perserve it for postarity, and the next owner of my car. On the other, he'd have a lot of fun with it, although, like every thing else I've given him, he'll pretty much destroy it.

Yeah, I'm a geek. But having restored cars previously, it's really nice when you buy one and the owner got all this cool stuff for it at the time. The next owner of my car will have a DVD complete with original pictures of the whole thing, but also all the magazine articles, the entire web site, Car & Driver television episodes with it etc.

If my 2005 car's owners ever contacted me, they can get the DVD with that and the entire European delivery and rally.

Other then that, I bought myself the one SLK watch, and my parents are getting me a cool clock I've admired for a time.

Then for my partner Frank, We go stay at the contemporary resort in Disney World for Christmas. (Gawd I hoped they rehabbed that thing for those prices!)

What Frank will get me, who knows? Probably the flooring for the garage.

Wow! Just read your post. I've been camping with the Boy Scouts for the last 3 days up by Livingston Texas at a place called Indian Village or I would have responded sooner. We had perfect weather! Great time had by all.

As for the Changer, YES!
I would love to have it!

I will PM you about it.

Thanks again!

There really isn't much else I want that I don't already have except, as others have said, stuff for the car. I got my Christmas present already in the form of a job change to Germany. WOOHOO!! Oh...and did I say...WOOHOO?!?!?

As for world peace, it WILL be nice, but it won't take place at the hands of man. Merry CHRISTmas!!

So how does the move work?

Do you ship the cars early so they are there when you get there?

Rent a U-haul boat and hook it behind a cruise ship? LOL

Inquiring minds want to know.... ha ha ha

Dec 4-7 movers come, pack up our stuff, load everything into big wooden crates, truck it accross the U.S. to an East coast port and add them to other big wooden crates in bigger metal containers and then it's a 2 month float to Europe. We're taking the cars to a Vehicle Processing Center in LA on the 9th and they get trucked across the U.S. to the same port and put on another slow boat to the same European port. We'll recieve an earlier, small air shipment in Jan, then the other stuff and the cars in Feb. It's slow, but you can't beat having someone else pack you up and move you. Not including the cars, I have about 13,000 lbs of household goods!

That’s true, but the gov’t is obligated to accommodate me from my current location. LA is the closest VPC to Las Vegas. If I weren’t shipping the cars so close to my actual flying date, I would have flown out of Vegas instead of LAX as well.

i have asked for a new shotgun, but tha's it.
would love a scotty cameron putter, but probably wouldn't use it and just keep it good instead.
otherwise i am fortunate enough to have everything i want, and obvioulsy i wish health to all.
