And hopefully, that doesn't apply to Tele-Aid?
Tele-Aid is basically leased "On-Star". I do not think Mercedes-Benz put the analog system in their cars.
I am worried that Frank doesn't have it in the Lexus. It really is a worth while service. I wish I could get it for my handycapped mother.
My 2005 accident occured out in Royal Palm Beach, a little suburban town outside of West Palm Beach and I was kinda in the sticks. I can tell you, the EMT's were there and fireman and police where there in minutes, before I even started to regain my bearings of where I was.
It also came to rescue when I couldn't get the cops on the phone when liquid concrete was dropped all over my 2005 (that car was cursed!) They got the police there to force the construction company to give me their information.
More recently, it came into play on my 2006 when some Hatians were driving up on the right hand shoulder of the causeway and trying to cut in front of me and make me rear end them. Tele-Aid got the state troopers on the line and I gave them full license plate and car description and they set out after them. After four tries, thankfully, they got a flat tire, so I left them there for the cops to pick up.
Idiots. They thought they could actually out brake a Mercedes-Benz sports car with an old Caprice!
Although I did stop once when they spun out (oh gawd that scared the crap out of me, and another driver they almost hit) but that was only to see if they hit the bridge side. Damn it! No such luck, they saved it with about 2 inchs to spare.
