OK, most UK petrol heads will know the RAC rally, for the last couple of years, in the UK there is a new RAC rally - Robert Albert Clark memorial rally - Roger Clark used to be a world class rally driver, and now there is a veteran rally in his memory. If you're into MK!,2,3 Escorts, Cortinas, Porche 911's, Ginettas, Minis, Lancia Stratos/ Fulvias, Opel Asconas, 2 Stroke Saab 99's, TR8's, Lotus Talbots etc. etc. - If it goes round forrest stages on two wheels(occasionally 4 !!), this is the rally to enter - 3 days of fun.
I spent all day today at Dalby forrest - just north of Scarborough - two stages of the best classic rallying you could imagine.
I've attached a piccy of Jimmy MacRae (dad of the Macrare lads) - not one of the best of a couple of hundred pics I took - if you wanna see a pic of a particular car, just ask - I might just have it. (this year,
, no Mercs).
