Fastdawg has to stay home tomorrow

We're going to my Aunt's wedding in Northern Ohio tomorrow, it was was going to be the first trip of any range with Fastdawg. I had visions of a high speed run on I-71, but nooooooooo! It has to freakin snow, so now I have to take the Chrysler 300S while Fastdawg stays in the garage! Just wait until this weekend when it gets sunny and in the 50's, someone's gonna pay!

We have black ice everywhere. I have started researching heated spaces to continue my interior renovation.

The rain/ice/snow mix has started, we're supposed to have about 2" by early morning, this sucks! No high speed run to the Cleveland area tomorrow, it would have been a nice straight shot run of about 140 miles on 6 lane interstate (3 each way).

I hope you find your heated garage Chickie! As you always say, lets see the Pic's!

Ack! Had snow squalls all the way to the Cleveland area today. We had 2 inches at wake up this morning, and its been cold all day, yuk! I'm really not liking winter, and it just started. At least the wedding was really nice. Its a good thing I didn't drive Fastdawg today, it wouldn't have been fun.

I am sorry to hear that the slk had to stay. I don't have snow but my dilemma here is that its 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit out and everyone looks at me weird while driving along with my top and windows down....if they only knew its like freaking summer inside the car thanks to heated seats, airscarf, and the MB blowtorch of a heater not to mention the Windrestrictor blocking some of the cold air from entering from behind. I have to say I truly love this car!

We had a great trip up to northern Ohio for my Aunts wedding, it was a very emotional time. My Uncle died of lung caner about 4 years ago and my Aunt now seems happy, everyone deserves to be happy in their lives. I'm glad I went, my wife and I were the only family members that attended outside of my Aunt's immediate family. That part was sad, I had a hard time initially reconciling it myself, but I'm happy for her. I initially wasn't going to go, but my Mom passed away about 5 months ago, she sent me a message about 2 weeks ago that my butt better be in a seat there, and I always listened to her when she was alive. Today we stopped by her and my Step-father's grave (he really was my father most of my life), and it was a cold, snowy and emotional time there. I'm glad I went, but it was sad. I'm struggling with it today still, but I'll be back to my normal smart-ass self again tomorrow. Just a very bitter sweet trip. But the sun was shining all the way back to Columbus, even though it was in the 300S instead of the 350 (Fastdawg). I guess occasionally I do the right thing.

I have a set of 18" wheels, great for snow tires, for an SLK sitting in my garage...

And after I had thought about it, I said,
"I will, then, be a toad."(Thank you, Steven Crane)

I'll find the for sale thread here. There might be pics. They have Dunlop Star Spec's on them, but I never got a chance to put them on the car.

Thanks Galo, but I'm looking for a staggered set that are chrome. The style is great though, if they were staggered set, I'd be very interested as they could be refinished. I like the looks. I appreciate the thought though! I do need tires probably next year (or so) so a wheel change would be in the works at the same time. That is a very nice set you have though. The style was right.

What I'm looking for is a AMG set, preferably a chrome set at about $700. I know that is a tough order, but that's what I have in mind for a used set. I'd pay more but they just have to be the right set. I would do the bright silver AMG's but I'm trying to hold my price range and I'm not in a rush. Darkhorse's set was pretty nice, but I didn't need the tires he had and the price while I'm sure was well worth it, was more than I wanted to pay. I was close to pulling the trigger on his set though. I'm sure his probably already sold.
