Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.

I got an R171 08 55 last year. Previously had an R171 05 350 from 2009 till last year and a R171 05 200 from 2007 to 2009.

Although the 55 is an awesome car with a lot of theatre, I miss the balance and smoothness of my 350, not to mention the significantly better fuel economy as a daily driver. I suspect the 350 with a manual trans is a superior drivers car than the 55. So both cars offer significant performance but in a different way. Please test drive a 350 before you buy a 55. You may be pleasantly surprised and may have a smaller hole in your wallet.

Maybe you posted this here in a thread or somewhere else. I did read similar, I guess it's good advice, I was tempted by a 350, newer, loads more MPG etc. I'm not going to do many miles, it's a car for fun really, I forsee getting a 350 and then still wishing I'd got a 55, maybe a test drive will sort that out but the manual option, as much as it makes for a better driving experience, being a lazy ass, I do like an auto :) Anyway, I'll have fun looking for a bit.

2007 is a very specific year, any reason?
2005 is near identical and has cheaper road tax.
2008 similar but switched to cheaper to service 4 pot brakes (07 has six pot).
