Hey Charlie, which part of east Baltics are you from? (I was born in Riga, Latvia)

Roxanne7169 I would say take some time to learn about what may be deemed offensive to those who practice observance of the most prominent religion there.

Idiot101 Don't know about Pakistan, but spent 5 weeks teaching firefighting in Egypt. Grow a beard try to dress realatively non-tourist. Might want to watch some of the countries videos to get a feel for where you are going to be. Hope some of our members there will jump in.

grimree Probably depends on where in the country you're going, the south is ok, the north less so and if you're going into Kashmir don't have an Indian accent

Pakistan - anyone been there? Info needed

Please keep politics out of this...
Mods feel free to delete anytime if inappropriate thread.

So, my company had a return of more than 300% on the area of Pakistan and is selling off.
Guess who is going to handle things there, yep good old Charlie, who has nothing to do in his life but to travel to the most strange of places.

Anyone been, served, went there?
I need info regarding safety and living for about 3 weeks (that i do not intend to spend locked in a hotel room)

I would really like to travell a little while being there and spend some time sightseeing, but my recent experience from Ukraine has me very, very worried. (was taking photos of a monument and BAM nearby car exploded to pieces followed by some bombs around me)

Tried to subscribe to a travel forum, but something didnt feel right there, as information was given by backpackers and some very "strange" travellers that do not match my "idea of fun"

If anyone has any tips, please share.
Thank you.
