Hi, I'm new to SLK World. Just registered a few minutes ago, looking for a solution to a problem with my windows on my SLK. Am from the Philippines and own a 2001 2.3SLK.
Welcome from Valrico, Florida!
And welcome to this great forum!
As Hasontour stated:
Please update your location/vehicle (model and year) in your profile as it helps the members answer any questions you might have based on your location and model and year.
‘Usercp’ at the top left of page, then ‘edit your details’ on the left side, ‘additional information’ near the bottom, edit your ‘vehicle’ and ‘location’.
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before.
In addition, if you haven’t, please post your question in the appropriate discussion forum for a quicker response. Be patient and a knowledgeable member or guest will address your question.

Thank you to all you folks who welcomed me and made me feel I belonged immediately. Frankly, I was surprised at the hospitality of SLKWorld members. I really didn't expect to receive so many greetings from you.
As suggested by some of you, I have updated my profile to the extent that I can without compromising my privacy. You know how it is these days... unfortunately, you never can be too careful what you post on the internet. At any rate, for those of you who are in FB and want to connect, I go by the same username. I also joined the FB page of SLKWorld.
Haven't had time to browse through all the links you sent. I am sure they are all as informative and helpful as the one that I did browse through quickly - re: greasing the vario roof. A stupid question though: How do you get the roof to go to position 2(?) ?. Am sure the answer is in one of the other links you sent. Just haven't had time to go through all of them.
Unfortunately, the grease you speak of is not available here. There's silicon spray and WD40 though. Wonder what else I can use that will be as effective.
At any rate, many, many thanks for the informative and helpful hints.
Welcome from Seattle! My wife lived in the Manila for six years when a student, says your country is beautiful! I'm new to the forum too, and there is a lot of shared info on our cars
Thanks for the welcome. Interesting to know that your wife lived here for a time. Where did she study here and what year? When you do get to revisit, be sure to send me a note and I would be happy to hook up with you.
Welcome Chairman! I'm not sure you actually described the specific problem you're having with your windows. It would be very helpful if you did. by the way, I'm pinoy too.
Hi. Great to know there are other Pinoys here in this community. Problem solved with the window going up too far. Playdbluz's info was very informative. Fabricated a bracket that used to be mounted onto the glass window to stop it at a certain height to replace the one that fell off and somehow got lost. Thanks much.
Kamusta na? How long have you been living in the States?
Chariman157, a warm welcome from Southern Arizona. You have come to the right place for answers to questions. Enjoy the people, the forum, and top down cruisin'.
