Need a little help. my central locking system stop working today. I checked fuse 26 and it is good and has voltage on it. The symptoms are as follows:

push the lock/unlock button on dash no action no noise

push unlock on the remote. lights flash once but no door locks do not move or make any noise

push lock on remote and lights flash 3 time but no door locks do not move or make any no noise

I would be grateful for any help.

some questions I have.
Are there any other fuse besides the one under the hood?

Where is the vacuum located?

Can a bad switch on the dash cause the remote function to stop working?

Are they any relays in the system? if so where are they located.

Are there any other components I need to look for?

I dont think there is anything wrong with the actuators in the door or trunks as they all went out at the same time.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Central Locks Problem

Thanks for all the help. I think I found the problem (see pictures). While checking 4 of the pin, two in each connector were corroded off. and guess where the pins were. Yes they were stuck in the female side of the connectors. It took some work to extract them. I will be ordering a new PSE today. Thanks again for the help

Locks fixed

To complete this thread. After removing all the corroded broken pins from inside the female side of the connectors and replacing the PSE all is working great. I will never know why Mercedes used two small 18 pin connectors to connect 6 wires in on connector and 10 in the other. A replacement PSE was obtained from ebay for $250. The until looks and operates as new. There was no corrosion on any of the connectors or inside.

Thanks too all who help
