Hi Evaser,
Welcome to the forum. I'm a new member myself so I can't really offer any expert advice, but there is a lot of useful information on the forum. It's always hard to know exactly what you are buying secondhand.

Good luck with which ever car you decide to go for....

Welcome to the forum!

Personally, I would take the lower mileage SLK280 of that pair, depending on what other equipment they have that you want. I specifically looked for an SLK280 because my trusted Mercedes-specialist mechanic told me that he'd never seen any of the 280 cars come in with the balance shaft problem, where he had seen dozens of 350s with it. After driving both cars, I found I preferred the revvier feel of the smaller engine ... there's not so much difference in total performance as the numbers lead you to believe, and the 3L engine just feels nicer to me. Both are plenty fast enough for fast, fun driving.

I've not heard of any oil leakage issues so that's a question mark to me. I know mine has no leaks at all @ 88,000+ miles.
